About the Palace

Palazzo Pugliese is the most representative example of nineteenth-century architecture in Trani for decorative details and furnishings(1890). Trani was enriched in those years of houses composed of a ground floor for servants’ quarters and an important first floor, particularly sumptuous, composed of no less than ten rooms. For a long time used as a private home, it did’t have any restoration before 2006. The current splendor is the result of a long and meticulous restoration that lasted about four years and brought unexpected beauty to light. From 2006 to nowadays structural operations have been associated with the recovery of wallpaper, ceilings, boiseries, doors and windows, external decorative frames and two side terraces with wooden frames. The bar – catering area is perfectly equipped: the Palace, in fact, for its beauty, for the wide spaces and for the suggestive terraces, is used as a location for fashion events, meetings and ceremonies.

Building

The Palace rises on three floors plus a basement floor:

– two impressive stairs leading to the upper floor from the ground floor houses.(130 sqm)

– 1st floor, composed of 13 rooms, all frescoed with surprising diversity of styles and decorations, and two large terraces (560sqm);

– 2nd floor with a panoramic terrace (390sqm).

The large halls are all furnished with paintings, mirrors, sofas, furniture, consoles, original sculptures from the late 19th century, original Murano glass chandeliers.
