This elegant ‘palazzo’ is located atop the hill of Vaiano where Lazio meets Umbria between Montefiascone and Orvieto. Views from one side stretch all the way from the Umbrian hills of Montecchio and Guardea to the Tiber Valley and the Oasi of Alviano, while vision of the spectacular ‘calanchi’ can be enjoyed from the other side of the property. The whole place is fenced and access is currently from the old main gate although, when Case in Italia visited the place, a second gate was being built on one side of the property. The 600sqm. ‘palazzo’ has been completely restored and a few extensions have been added to the original building. Throughout the building there are wooden ceilings, frescos, cotto floors. Everything is very elegant. On the ground floor: the library, the dining room, the kitchen and a magnificent living room attached to a glazed veranda. Currently the entrance to the ‘palazzo’ is from the old original doorway giving access into the building onto a small entrance hall having the main staircase just a few steps away. During the works the owners have kept as much as possible the original layout and materials. But they have also built an extension on one side where a new doorway can be created, which would allow to enter the building from the living room. On the first floor: four bedrooms with bathrooms.
