Property

A property located just North of Rome in the natural and archaeological Park of Veio. As soon as one enters the main gate the sense of country stylishness becomes tangible. An old restored farmhouse restored with an annex building, a 10x5mts. swimming pool, a tennis court all immersed in a 1.5 hectares garden. The garden around the house is well maintained and includes olive trees, various fruit trees, pines and cypresses. A barbeque with a bread oven are located in the garden not too far from the two buildings in an area which becomes a perfect place for summer outdoor dining. At the end of the property sits the tennis court. Utilities are all available. The access road is not in very good shape, but the stringent rules of the park do not allow for it to be ‘perfectly’ paved.

The main building was built around an old farmhouse and restored in the seventies. The external walls have been painted in the typical reddish colour of the area. The finishing materials also are of value: terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, a built-in stone kitchen with bread oven are just a few examples. From the main entrance the hall opens onto the kitchen on one side and onto the living area on the other. The kitchen has quite large windows enjoying pretty vies of the property and of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is connected to the dining room. On this same floor there are two bedrooms one with en-suite bathroom and a guest bathroom. The lower floor has a number of rooms currently used as gym, servants quarter, laundry. But, it could very easily be turned into two additional bedrooms with private bathrooms. Not far from the main building is located a second building. A 19th Century doors leads from the portico into a large living/dining room with fireplace and a kitchenette. On this floor there is a bathroom and – with access from the living area – a wonderful terrace with views spreading on the surrounding fields. On the lower floor there are a second living room and a bedroom with a bathroom.
