The living room fireplace confers a warm and welcoming ambience and time here seems to have suddenly slowed down. One annex (approx.20m²) is immediately adjacent to the main house. The landlady, a keen cook and gardener, has a fully furnished kithchen where serious cooking is done for the larder (jams, marmelades, tomato sauces and olives from the family produce). She also houses some of her precious plants that need shelter during the winter. The annex has a large patio with a wood-fire oven for baking pizza and for barbecuing. It is currently used as a hen run and a shed for storing tools and garden equipment but all services are available and little work would be needed to turn it into a charming stone guest house or servants’ quarters. The grounds include an olive grove, a vineyard, an orchard with a great variety of fruit trees and fields. The only glitch in this otherwise rosy picture is that the property extends along the road which is, on the other hand, a very low traffic road leading to Trequanda, Castelmuzio and Montisi. The owners have been very clever in guaranteeing privacy by planting thick and bushy hedges all along the border line.
